Dark Web
There is a lot of marketing out there about protecting you from the Dark Web and the Deep Web. Often Deep and Dark Web are used interchangeably. This has caused much confusion.
Several questions come from this topic:

- Are they dangerous or evil?
- Who goes to these places?
- Do you want to go there?
What is the Deep Web? Using a classic definition, the Deep Web is the part of the World Wide Web that is not discoverable by means of standard search engines, including password-protected or dynamic pages and encrypted networks. The Deep Web includes a members-only portion of a website, such as your login on a members-only reddit or facebook page. The deepness is because the information contained is not publicly accessible. The same is true for your Amazon account or any other secured area of a website.
This in and of itself is not dangerous or inherently evil, though within the Deep Web you can have dark things such as illegal activities.
What is the Dark Web?
This is the part of the World Wide Web that is only accessible by means of special software, allowing users and website operators to remain anonymous or untraceable.
This, on the surface, can be taken as illegal reasons to remain dark. However, the Dark Web can be used to store and access military information or health information – the type of information that should be protected and only a select few should be able to access. The ability to access information anywhere, anytime, is fantastic. This information must be secured, though, so that the masses cannot see everything; and this is why the Dark Web can play an important part in the world of cyber security. In the same way, it can be used for very bad things.
